When every person who wants to work has a job that pays a living wage, then we can import people.

I don't care if all who entered illegally get sent back home. But the instant that happens, all who hired them need to be imprisoned. Million dollar fines are just a cost of doing business. Imprisoning those who hire is the only way to stop illegal immigration.

You can't force someone to learn English if it's not even the national language. You can't assume that the skills they have will allow them to support themselves over time. The more skilled, the more that they are coming for the higher wage earners' positions.
There's this fantasy that wages will stabilize without immigrants but unless you're willing to pay $10/lb for grapes or 3x for home repairs, etc then you're wrong. Any increased wages you might see will quickly be overtaken by the price increase.
Immigrants aren't on welfare bc they're lazy, it's bc people are fine with paying them $3-8/hr.

It's not about giving anyone priority. I know plenty of Americans of all races who can't speak proper English. Can we kick them out or do a 1-1 exchange?
Most people complain about the minimum wage increases causing trouble, what happens when you are used to getting a new roof for 10k and the new price is 20k bc they can't exploit immigrants anymore?
You get unused to it. You pay Americans a decent wage just like everyone did before the open border fiasco. That's always the sorry excuse liberals have for promoting open borders and catering to illegals.
BTW, it's not about speaking proper English. It's about knowing enough English to get by and hopefully assimilate like my parents did. Being able to communicate with very basic English is important to being able to do that rather than immigrating here and not having a clue if someone is asking you what time it is or where's the nearest bus depot.
