I do think it should begin being discussed / instructed early and every year afterward. And yes, it is a bit much how everything is more sexualized than ever (focusing on "how females should appear"). In recent years, even toddlers have been sexualized in beauty pageants. In TV, ads, video games, musical performances - sexuality is the focus, so that even before children know what it means, they might mimic this.

Bottom line is how someone wants to raise their children is none of your business unless it's an illegal activity. Trying to force sex education onto their kids is no different than if they were trying to prevent you from giving it to yours.

True but when children become pregnant at a young age it becomes the governmen's problem for many.

Sex education is optional in most catholic schools in my area with the parents permission, seems like a little education goes a long way to make our society better.

Forget birth control" !
The Religious Right Wingers in Georgia are freaking out that their kids are being taught "Yoga" in school! They have almost become the Equivalent of the Taliban in the US with their twisted religious beliefs without the beheadings.

As for teaching about birth control to teenagers will cause/encourage them to have sex before marriage. :rolleyes

that cat sailed a long time ago with the Internet !
