Low wage workers need to work harder, they don't deserve a raise (fast food, salaries)

For those bashing people for working minimum wage jobs, and feeling that there should be no minimum at all, remember that many places in our country have nothing else to offer. So if everyone "moves up" that will mean nobody is left in those towns. So many of your precious vacation spots will close up as there will be nobody to work in the hotels, restaurants, bars, gas station, tourist shops, etc.....
One must remember as they look out their big city window and see office buildings, hospitals, factories and other signs of career oriented jobs, etc, etc, that not all of us live (or even care to live) the big city life. Yet many of these big city elites sitting on their asses doing nothing making big bucks are the ones crying about somebody getting a raise to a whopping 10/hr for working his butt off and claiming they don't deserve it.
Instead of raising the minimum wage to $15 / hour, why not invest that in training people to learn some kind of valuable trade or skill so they can rise up out of that crappy job into something better or higher paying?
I have seen two shows of Undercover Boss and while the workers depicted probably did not earn minimum wage, they probably were low-level and low-paid workers. And they appeared to perform their jobs reasonably well. And when the boss reveled his identity, he had praise and some tangible goodies for his workers.
I suspect that preconceptions are rewarded with the appropriate behavior. For example, I think that "low wage" workers are good decent people as a result I can't remember the last time I had a bad experience with customer service, crap customer "service" policies but not many customer service representatives or workers. who regularly deal with the public, Maybe its having a good sense of humor, a little humility, patience and a dash of empathy.
No. There's plenty of customer service workers who do the absolute bare minimum, and are not good at their jobs. It's rare to get one that is good, and I go in to that with the understanding of what they go through every day, because I've done that job in the past. Fact is, if you don't work hard, then don't ask for more.
Im sick and tired of hearing low wage workers complaining and asking for a higher minimum wage. Customer service is a joke. Whenever I have to interact with low wage workers, it just reminds me how lazy our low wage workers have gotten. What ever happened to working hard and moving up? We should LOWER the minimum wage to remind these people they need to work harder, NOT whine for government handouts.

If you're treated like expendable dirt, workers will not be motivated. Common human psychology. Funny how "human nature" and greed is good always comes up when people defend rugged capitalism for the workers. Yet they totally ignore the human need of feeling valued and respected as an employee in order to do a good job and be productive. Instead its all about increasing "worker insecurity" so people can live in fear. The system is rigged, and it is held up by a corrupt system of campaign finance. Dont believe the propaganda folks. We either have to choose between democracy or a massive wealth and income inequality. We cant have both. The time is now to make a choice.

So we will never need cashiers, hostesses, waiters, housekeepers, maids, front desk workers, car rental associates, grocery store clerks.....
