The sad fact here is consider the lengths repressive totalitarian regimes go to for Olympic success?
Tell me there isn't going to be a sudden "flood" of men with new found transgender feelings (and family being held hostage) under drug treatment to meet the qualifying hurdle and then competing as a "woman".
I'm not talking about the occasional actual transgender case but instead widespread pharmaceutical abuse for "national pride".
I wonder when they'll rethink this nonsense. It's only a matter of time before transgender men will win gold in virtually all women's events. Will that be enough to bring us back to sanity?
The transwomen may compete in any male competition without restriction, but the transmen must have had a testosterone level below a certain threshold for the last 12 months before they will be allowed to win medals as a female.

I feel sorry for all of the woman Olympians that have trained so hard, blood doped and taken cutting edge hormones and masking agents that could be cheated out of their quest to win a medal.

The NCAA has had a similar policy in place since 2011, although there has yet to be a case of a trans female participant. There have been a few trans men, that continued to play on a womens team.
