Don't agree with the whole gist of the article (what modern country has a large % on farms?), but don't you think many of the urban, Democrat controlled areas are power kegs?

So America is a bomb waiting to explode because we aren't all farmers living on sustaining ourselves on the land.

What is the American model? You mean developed nations?

So who is doing it right then? Germany? Russia?

He has a good premise, but his argument is terrible.

This is all true, what he's said, but it also pre-figures a loss of electrical power.
Safe to say, if there was a successful attack on the major power grids and/or
transportation infrastructure of the U.S, millions would suffer and die.
The ability to do this exists in a very real sense, militarily and even in case
of natural disaster.

Couldn't that be said about any nation?

The ability to reap havoc on our power grid is litterally a few keystrokes away from someone who is both computer and tech savvy. It's really quite scary.

Disclosure: I work for one of the world-leading expert companies on the field of INDUSTRIAL Cybersecurity, and the consensus is that there are a lot of chinks in the armor (no pun intended...).

Possibly once the explosion we can get back to only 5:00-6:00 p.m. politics.

Nope.

I live in an "urban, Democrat controlled area". We're doing just fine, thanks for your concern.
