Would you be ok if the person reporting your news was previously a porn star? How about if they become a TV personality like a Erin Andrews? Would you be ok with that? What if they over-saturate the networks?
What is news anyway? Isn't it simply instant gratification one's opinions without the burden of commitment?

So are they going to use their real names or their porn star names? I can see it now, "And YES! YES! YES! there was a fire in the lower east OH MORE! YES! OH! OH! side today...."
What if they over-saturate the networks? Like if they're the pick of the litter?
Who cares? The news in BS anyway; does it matter who's doing it? There's really no reason to have a problem with someone who once worked as a porn star. I mean, can you tell me why that'd be a problem?
Why do they call them all porn "stars", even if they weren't terribly famous? Why not "porn actress" or maybe "filmed prostitute"?
It's a hold over from the days before amatuers with a home recorder when being chosen for a video box cover meant that strip clubs would pay the "star" to appear rather then take stage fees from her.
