I said nothing about sex, just the need for trophy hunters to compensate for their inadequacy
The greatest conservation president ever was an avid hunter, I'm just not sure how you square that circle but logic appears to have you in a headlock once again.
Considering the vast majority of those that kill the animals in Africa are black and many of the tusks and horns wind up going to asians......I cannot wait to here your keen insights on the genitals of those races as well.

I am a hunter and 100% I will shoot a trophy buck, Elk, Antelope etc. Why? Because I am hunting said animals for their meat anyway. What I can't fathom is why anyone would want to kill endangered animals.

You are a responsible hunter, like the vast majority of hunters are. Those of us who do not hunt, like myself, share your puzzlement as to what motivates a person to shoot an endangered animal for nothing more than the vanity of doing so, and being able to place its head on your living room wall.
Anyone who would be impressed by such a trophy is as soulless and ignorant as the hunter who killed the endangered animal.
Trophy hunting pays for all the conservation efforts and park rangers to stop poaching. An old animal can die naturally (though most will not live to an old age because of poachers) or it can be sold to a trophy hunter (where the animal is used to feed the local population) and the money goes to preserve the rest of the species.
Over the last few decades the above process has been put into place and the population numbers have skyrocketed and wild life preserves have increased dramatically in both size and staffing to protect the animals from poachers in many countries because of trophy hunters.
Not to mention many species have dominate males who at the end of their life span can no longer reproduce. This prevents years worth of child rearing as younger males cannot mate with females. The trophy Hunter that kills the dominate non reproducing male will actually be increasing the size of the population over 5-10 years.
Or you can just get upset without understanding the dynamics of the situation because you think hunting certain animals is bad.
It has been well documented the park "rangers" - usually poor villagers in a uniform - will take a bribe and go away while the animals they are to be protecting are killed for tusks, a horn, feet or head. That would be an elephant for the tusks, a rhino for the horn and a gorilla for the feet and head. Tigers are killed because certain Asians believe their penis to be a powerful aphrodisiac.
The worst part is once they remove the part of the animal killed they leave the rest of it to rot.
People use to be killed for their gold fillings. Lowlife morticians use to pull teeth from corpses for the very reason.
Hunting humans makes more sense. Very few people would care if Steamgrate Joe went missing.
