Or people enjoy the sport of hunting that both benefits the local hunted population by providing needed resources to actually protect animals from poachers and provide food for local inhabitants.

Just because it is not a sport you don't like doesn't mean it is wrong or evil.

Yea, an elephant is such a hard target to hit. And their meat is so delicious! Just think of all the little grateful village children who benefit from this noble gesture.

Hunting isn't a sport. If it is, that means so is urinating and putting on clothes to protect yourself from the elements.

It's a natural part of an organism's pursuit of well-being/survival.

Dude, it's a weird social construct. And it's one you have to go out of your way to participate in.
