That is the way I see it too, they are running rapidly to that cliff and bellowing like lunatics while they are at it. The more they spout, the more they look like wack jobs.

Cruz has siezed that ommission by the court to say...it up to the state's definition of marriage to be the determining factor.

I think the court was leaving the process to congress to figure out, but cruz got a jump on everyone.
The states cannot trump the federal law, they cannot force married couples to be denied federal benefits. Besides, all tax paying citizens pay for those benefits, not just straights or christians. As long as only straight people are granted marriage, then it is they that are getting special attention, special rights and sucking up the tax dollars. Why should everyone sanction and subsidize their marriages when they cannot even stay married. I say only sanction and subsidize the first marriage and each following one is up $#(^ creek, that is one way to ban divorce, rather than who can marry who. But leave it up to the bigots to fight that, they love being able to get a divorce and start over again as many time as they please and still call those marriages moral and sacred, even have it in their church, bunch of hypocrites is what they are.

Why? Because you can't stand the fact that others do not believe as you do? OR Because you can not use your religious beliefs to tell others how they have to live?

Either way, it's your problem, not mine.

Go ahead. Declare your independence. You can do that by not marrying someone of the same sex.

That's the bottom line: it is a political publicity stunt.

If holding a weapon is the only way you can get people to pay attention to your opinions, it should tell you something about the quality of your opinions. Oh, and that isn't respect.
