I have never, ever, met anyone who shoots up though. My friends and I have discussed it before and they don't know anyone who does that either. If blacks and hispanics are doing intravenous drugs then they sure aren't doing it where the white guys hang out. Even after working at the clubs for years I never even came across a needle in the bathrooms.

And although the deniers will come out (and I'll be called a homophobe) the reality is that male homosexuality among Blacks and Hispanics is not an acceptable behavior so many are in the closet (or the "down low", whatever).

As a gay black man I can say most of my gay black friends are hiv+.
Why the rate is so high is probably because of lack of education on the issue. Could it also be more blacks are being tested? I don't know but it's sad to see so many of my friends have to deal with medication and side affects and everything else that comes along with the disease.
You don't just wake up with HIV or AIDS unless you have made some questionable choices. Those born with it, and the very few who get it medically, are the exceptions.
I don't care about gays and their HIV/drug abuse/AIDS problems. They brought it on themselves by continuing their perverted, deviant lifestyle all the while knowing that AIDS was a death sentence.. Karma.
