I asked a question not even directed at you specifically. If it doesn't apply, then you said that. What is the end game here? Does everybody pay the same level of taxes? No taxes at all?
Maybe people would take you neo-Confederates a tiny bit more seriously if you knew the definitions of the words you use so often
If you want to complain about people using words whose definitions they don't know, you might also want to not use words with ZERO definition--'neo-Confederate.' Is Maxine Waters (D, CA) classed as 'neo-Confederate?'

What 'end game'?
I'm not playing games. I'm talking about the subject of this thread and what you clearly stated in it. When the government DOES NOT TAKE MONEY from someone it is not the same as taking from someone to give to someone else who didn't earn or own it.
Taxation is taxation. What you pay is totally unaffected by what your neighbor pays. Whether he pays a million or 1 dollar is immaterial to your tax burden. But when money is taken from me... to give to you, not for the purpose of procuring a government function or needed product or labor you supply, then it is solely to REDISTRIBUTE my earnings and property to someone else.
And, one of the definitions of socialism is to have common or public or communal decisions over the distribution of property.
What, possibly, are you failing to understand, here?
Yep, they love to trap people into arguing definitions (as this one has successfully trapped you). It saves them from having to discuss the actual results of their agenda... which is something they really don't want to talk about.
Not really. But why argue with a dishonest fool? He isn't there to test anything but his ability to lie with a straight face.
The leftist fanatics are now regurgitating the old "If it doesn't 100% fit the dictionary definition of "socialism", with every I dotted and every t crossed, then it's not socialism" dodge.
Am I right?
Why let silly things like dictionaries get in the way of words.
Leftists have their fancy books and you guys have talk radio and fox news.
This thread is hilarious. What the righties know, or think they know about socialism, could fit in an eyedropper and have room left over....despite the cute pictures of bread lines and graphics that look vaguely Russian, but aren't.

Unlikely true.
What YOU know about the right and capitalism... won't make a drop, even with an eyedropper.

If I took the posts seriously I'd get depressed, but I don't, so it's pretty entertaining, like watching a Palin interview,

I can see Russia
It is très amusant. Good for a giggle on a Sunday night.
