In case you didn't notice - Act Blue, which is George Soros' group, almost doubled their amount given to Democrats in the last 2 years from $51 million to over $93 million.
For those curious, Koch Brothers are #60 on the list with over $18 million. They are the top solidly Republican donor (over 90%). There are five solidly Democrat donors ahead of them - including Act Blue.
edit: Oh and this link claims the Koch Brothers have given over a $196 million over their lifetime.... Not to mention they heavily influence "3 independent think tanks" in the Heritage, Cato, and America Enterprise Institute.
There is only one way to clean up this mess, and that's to sever most of the federal tentacles running from DC into every nook and cranny of life. All those millions of dollars just represent an effort to arrange the tentacles in such a way as to benefit the donor (and usually to sting somebody else).
Just imagine if the NBA worked this way. Before the season, every team would donate to David Stern and the rules-writing committee. Then the biggest donors would get 'access' to get the rules they wanted. Maybe the Pacers with 7'2" Roy Hibbert would like to see the goal tending rule deleted. Maybe the Warriors with Steph Curry would like to see the 3 pt shot become the 4 pt shot.
Koch Brothers take a beating from the left - they are really small potatoes compared groups that donate to Democrats. Kochs are just the largest donors to Republicans. But from a money standpoint - it's no contest.
Don't see the $196 million in your link. It says over $100 million to causes. "Causes" do not mean PAC money.
Let's be honest. There's no comparison between Soros and Koch.
In both cases, influence is bought - and that's not good.

Liberals only view any opposition as the enemy. Koch, as you've stated, are the largest donors to Republicans making them the biggest enemy.
Math is a fuzzy subject to progressives. GWB $6B additional debt is outrageous, and downright unpatriotic according to Obama. Yet, Obama adding $7B additional debt (in half the time) is somehow a magnificent accomplishment.

Isn't it ironic that people are actually saying that Obama's lies are acceptable because he cares about us? WTF is wrong with these morons?

Great post. Of course, it is well known that most of the PAC and lobby money goes to democrats. It is ironic (and reflects the idiocy of most liberals) that liberals believe exactly the opposite and perpetuate this myth among themselves. To the average liberal, the Koch Brothers are like Evil Wizards from the The Lord of the Rings.
that's all well and good, but you're only measuring a subset of all political money
mainly, you're ignoring what is referred to as "Outside Spending"
