Yeah, we're also not divisible, According to that.

Try reading some politics threads. Indivisible, my ass.
You are upset about a slogan on a fiat currency? Oh thats funny.
Maybe you'd prefer in Bernanke we trust or in a central bank we trust...

You are looking at it all wrong.

In God We Trust is just to remind you that the only thing you can trust in is God, not the worthless piece of paper that you are holding while reading those words.

And as to the "one nation, under God, indivisible" not being true stop and think that maybe the reason we are divided is because so many Americans no longer live under God's rules. The phrase says that our nation will be indivisible if it remains under God.

But hey, that is just my take on what it means... I'm sure someone will think I am wrong. <shrug>

^^ I think this forum is an extreme example of division as well as the media.

In actuality, at least among a vast majority of the population, we're not that divided. Some just like to make us think that we are.

The NATION is "indivisible", as evidenced by The War Of Northern Aggression.
The PEOPLE, however, are VERY divided over MANY issues.

I always thought that this was apropos. After all, the only idol we unequivocally worship in the US is money. It's our father, our son, and our holy spirit. Alpha and Omega. For money, we sell our collective soul.

Politicians supports it, as do vast majority of people.
I seriously doubt that 90% of Americans believe in god, many just say they do so they won't be discriminated against, or so they can run for public office, and many don't care one way or the other...Even among the believers there are doubters.

Look up McCarthy
If it's kept our country from going communist then what's the issue? I see it as a good thing.

"In God we Trust" has just become a problem for this generation of government is better, no God needed people.

Sounds like the same people Moses had to deal with!

Are we more divided or uninformed? Lies and rumors of lies are destroying the core of America.

Hypothetic money - or synthetic money?

Some would pledge to pay Tuesday for a hamburger today.
