[quote=gunlover;32251890]Really? it was not the Democrats starting the civil war? Buy then again if you disagree with Chicago Jesus you must be a racist..[/QUOT
I have no idea who chicago jesus is??? And if you know anything about history you would know that democrats and republicans changed.
More broadly, for Latinos across this country, immigration reform is a touchstone issue, and has become less about the impact to their own families and more a proxy for how they're treated -- respected -- in the U.S. Most polls show a near 80 percent Latino support for comprehensive immigration reform with a path toward citizenship. (Such support is echoed by 70 percent+ support from all Americans.)
Uh; people DON'T demand "respect"; they earn it. If a bunch of people want to come to the US: do it LEGALLY or go HOME! Sheesh!
Well it must suck for you then, because 70+ americans support it! And that's more good news! Wow, you keep putting up all this good news, I might have to get you a medal or something lol.
I wish there was a middle ground between giving them all amnesty and deporting every last one immediately that people would be satisfied with. I think such legislation would never make it with the other side's fear-mongering. The longer we refuse to really address this issue the longer it grows...people refusing to compromise or address this issue is the same as just accepting the way it is.
I believe the stats that 80% of Latinos support amnesty but I don't believe that 70% of non-Latino Americans do. Espuelas is grasping at straws. What I would like to know is why Latinos think their ethnic group should be above our immigration laws and rewarded for breaking them.
Latinos don't think they are above the "immigration" law.
As far as for being "rewarded"? Stop hiring people who are undocumented but you want to pay them underground wages for what a regular American won't do for a civil wage.
Illegals don't cross the border because they think America is the land of Milk and Honey.
