Six kids before the jury? I would say her life was already over. As for losing her job due to jury duty, she needs to report her employer to the labor commission on that one.homeless? With a spouse? Does he work?
Her life choices is why her life is ruined! It has nothing to do with the verdict! Nobody told you to go out and have 6 kids! Her husband is working low wage jobs and she had multiple kids with this man?! What the hell were they doing having unprotected sex?! People like this lack critical thinking skills and foresight! It's no one's fault but hers for the mess she is in!
This post from the link posted from the OP sums up my feelings:
I don't feel one iota of empathy for Maddy. She failed as a juror. If Maddy felt that Zimmerman was guilty, she had opportune time to speak up.
She can eat on the floor, ground, or sidewalk.
She thinks Zimmerman got away with murder and doesn't realize why he was found not guilty?
He did it but the state wasn't able to prove it but despite no proof that he was guilty as charged he's guilty?
This is why on occasion someone who isn't guilty of something accepts a guilty plea. You never know when you will get a person like this on your jury.

Some system this is; only in America does "being judged by a jury of your peers" equate to having your life rest in the hands of up to twelve mentally challenged individuals seemingly without the ability of independent thought. Sheesh!
