John McCain, the guy that most on the right voted for in 2008, admitted that Republicans started the shutdown fight with the false premise that Obamacare would be repealed.

“We started out with a false premise here on this side of the aisle and that’s that we were somehow going to repeal ObamaCare,” McCain said. “To think that we’re going to repeal ObamaCare … was a false premise, and I think did the American people a great disservice by telling them that we could.”

McCain: Deal could be reached if lawmakers stopped

It's time for other Republicans to admit the same thing. The ACA is here to stay so it's time for Republicans to pass a clean CR and govern for a change.

McCain seems to be the only one in DC on the Republican side willing to work across the aisle. The McCain bashers I expect to put up a lot of posts. The Tea Partiers despise him and Jan Brewer in Arizona.

Since Ted Cruz was the Architect of the House's Budget funding stance on defunding ACA, McCain is basically back-handing Ted.

Wanting to end the B.S. and govern is now senile. Okay then.

I don't think anyone on the left loves McCain, but they do respect that he has enough sense to do what is right for the country instead of following along the lines of a Tea Party idea.

Actually this Nation would have been much better off if he had not got Primary ed in 2000. Bush used the racism in SC to defeat him. He put out a rumor that McCain had the Black child.

If not now, when? When do we stop the madness called out of control spending that left and right have been doing?

The TEA Party, while being hypocritical at times, has a point

As far as McCain, he is so far gone he doesn't even know what country he is in anymore.... sad given that he served his country honorably

Name one bill that the Republican House has passed since 2011 that addresses your concern.
