We all know both parties suck.

The Democrats are financially inept, and inept is a nice term for it. This is a common stereotype about the D-crew.. and it is true, but what about the R's? They are JUST as financially inept, none of them want to cut spending, they just want to spend welfare money on warfare. Republicans tend to support things like the DEA blowing billions of dollars, with NO noticeable results. So neither the D nor the R can really claim to be the better party for finances.

The Republicans are zealots and like to push their morality on society. This is true, but are the Democrats any different? I remember Obama running for president saying he would end raids on medical marijuana facilities, he increased them. Just a little while ago Holder said that the feds would not interfere with legalization in Colorado and Washington, yet they are still ticketing and arresting people on National Park land within the states.

Illegal wars? Check for both parties. Obama likes to kill without authority or oversight, he refuses to close Guantanamo, and he allows whistleblowers to be put in prison. This guy is a warhawk. Remember Clinton? His policies directly resulted in the 9/11 attacks. I don't really need to explain the Republican ties to illegal wars of aggression, they are proud of it.

Both parties think that a cut in proposed increases in the budget constitutes a cut in spending...

I have trouble finding any category in which either party sucks any less than the other one, they do all the same things and manage to find a sliver to argue about on CNN and FOX so that people believe the choice between the two is actually a choice.

But, I know that my opinion is just that, and it wont change a thing. I know that the majority will continue to cheer their team on and celebrate the same path we have been on for 50 years. I know that seats of government will continue to cycle between D and R and the growth of government will continue unchecked. I know I only have perpetual war and decreasing freedom to look forward to.

Ya'll can flame me now.

i am a registered republican, but i dont always agree with what some republicans do or say. but then that is part of being human, and being an individual. we are not always going to agree with everyone every time, so what we need to do is find those that get as close to our values as possible and work from there.

Republicans increase our national debt, and democrats lower our national debt (they are not the same.)

Republicans do something called trickle down/supply side economics (these are literally tax cuts for large corporations and the rich.)

R. Reagan lowered rich peoples tax rates and he created huge deficits and grew our debt.
B. Clinton reversed Reagan's policies and he balanced our budget and created surpluses (and he stopped our debt from growing)
GW Bush gave the rich a $2.5 trillion dollar tax cut and he created huge deficits (and added that $2.5 trillion dollars to our debt.)
And Obama has cut GW Bush's debt growth rate in 1/2.

If you look at the following debt history of America you don't need to look at names or dates to tell when republicans are in office. Just look at "Growth Rate YoY", and when the debt growth rate goes up republicans are in office, and when it goes down democrats are in office.

Note: G(H)W Bush was against supply side tax cuts he called them "voodoo economics", so G(H)W Bush did not grow our national debt. But today 99% of republicans want supply side tax cuts.

You need around $800 million dollars in campaign money to become president whether you are a democrat or republican. And when some billionaire gives a politician $50 million dollars they get favors for it.

But the thing is there are 2 kinds of rich people (democrats and republicans.) Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are democrats and they want to pay higher taxes to help the rest of us.

Billionaires like the Koch brothers are republicans and they want low taxes for the rich and corporate deregulation. They also finance Fox news to spread their low taxes for the rich philosophy.

This is the republican plan (and it adds $6.6 trillion dollars to our national debt.)

Romney's Economic Plan Includes $6.6 Trillion Tax Cut For The Rich And Corporations | ThinkProgress

This is the democrats plan (and it increases revenue to pay down our national debt.)

Republicans and Democrats agree: Obama wants to raise taxes on rich people

And remember as you read this billionaires pay a 17% federal tax rate, and Americans who make $100,000 a year pay a 30%+ federal tax rate.

Republicans and democrats are as different as night and day.

Remember the sliver of difference that they argue about on CNN and FOX? They both want to grow government, bomb people, and hook up their corporate buddies... but at least they differ on who they want to use force to steal from...

Because the Repubs are ALSO financially inept, too beholden to moneyed special interests, espec the defense industry. Repubs use too many wedge issues to divide people, instead of demonstrating how they can do better than the Dems. The older I get, the more conservative that I become, but I see no reason to vote for the Repubs when they come across as mean spirited, gay hating people.

Clinton surplus never existed but on paper, and as for "taxes being too low" it is just the elites wanting to shut the door on anyone trying to become wealthy like themselves.

I'm neither, except on paper. That's because PA doesn't have open primaries.
But really, I'm as liberal as gunlover is conservative.

You say democrats and republicans are the same. But if your statement was true you would be able to copy/paste a link to a source that shows democrats doing this (but you can't do it.)

Romney's Economic Plan Includes $6.6 Trillion Tax Cut For The Rich And Corporations | ThinkProgress

Show me a link were democrats want to give the rich $6.6 trillion dollars in tax cuts.
(But you can't.)

In my state, the only way to vote in the primaries is to be registered for a party.
