Except in this case, what's "right" and the "will of the people" are the same thing.

If anyone has any inkling of support for this ridiculous proposed war, please read this:

Military enlisted men & women, are sworn to the Constitution. Many are torn up, that they may be sent to war without we the peoples, support.
There is talk of a substantial military personnel, leaving the military life, it Obama goes around congress, and personally declares war on Syria.
He is going to Congress so this "theory" is dead in the water as most right-wing theories usually end up.

Maybe if you actually understood that we are not going to War you might have some credibility to discuss the topic.

The elections are rigged. You can't vote them out.

Military members can refuse to participate.

It is long past time to take care of our own domestic mess instead of wasting lives, time, and money on other countries.

We should not get involved in someones Civil War and to be blunt where was the outrage in Iraq with the Kurdish minority being killed by the thousands, the butchering in Rwanda,Bosnia?
This is about extreme egos, political poker and the Syrians called Obama's bluff...

Lie to your friends but let's not lie to each other here.
I'm pretty sure I have seen polls with only 33% support for bombing Syria.
Even more oppose supplying weapons to the Syrian rebels, with 70% against and 27% in favor.

Answering as a military officer:
This issue comes up before every significant military engagement. There was deep reservation in the military about going into Iraq, especially since Bin Ladin had specifically attacked the Pentagon. For that war there were less than 100 Conscientious objectors and retention rates were the highest ever. There were almost no objectors to Libya, and I don't Syria as much different.

When the order comes from the Commander in Chief to go, we GO. It doesn't matter what his party is, if we voted for him, or if we even agree with the war. We go. We leave the politicking to the Nervous Nellies in Congress.
