If you have Dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, or any other mental condition or issue can you not have to do jury duty because you don't really understand how the system works and since you may be not so smart as the rest of the jury, wouldn't it be unfair because you don't know how the system works?

Uh I don't think so. If it is an issue, you won't be selected. You probably still have to go to jury duty.

NONE of the conditions you named would make anyone "not so smart as the rest of the jury."
Why would someone with ADD not know how the system works? I think you should look up all those "mental conditions" and find out what they are.
PS: Nelson Rockefeller was dyslexic.

It doesn't matter. If you are unsuitable for duty, it will be revealed in the selection process. Jury duty doesn't always mean actually serving on a jury; a lot of times it's just showing up for the selection process.
If you're not selected -- which you probably won't be with these problems-- then you are dismissed and your civil duty is considered fulfilled. But you still have to go through the motions...

As mentioned already, the conditions you pointed out in no way have to do with how smart you are.

If you have a mental disorder that might prevent you from serving on a jury, you must have your doctor sign a form which explains what prevents you from serving. It's doubtful that any of what you listed above would disqualify you.
