Only while they are using them. Too bad these "immigrants" refuse to use them.

It sounds a little odd, but he is spot on. Old people are just a drag and the aging of any country is not a good thing. Young (Mexican) blood will bring an economic resurgence in this country. Just thank your lucky stars they are Christians with European cultural traditions. We could be in the unenviable position that Europe finds itself importing Muslims from feudal societies.

“Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families, and they have more intact families, and they bring a younger population. Immigrants create an engine of economic prosperity."
Jeb is on a mission to create an America which will elect his son president.

Then why does Mexico and the other nations sending so many illegals not want them back? Whenever any are deported back to Mexico, the Mexican government is angry and insists they increase crime rates.

Mexico is actually doing much better with them gone, it's middle class is growing while ours is shrinking.

They're poor and pay little or no income taxes. Better get ready to support them.

I hope when you get old that people will make the same nasty remarks about you. The elderly have worked all their lives, served in our military, paid taxes and contributed to our economy. They have brought children into this world. What a despicable remark to make about them!! And by the way there are many aging Mexicans/Hispanics in this country also.

Why does it have to be Mexican blood? Is every other ethnic/national group just as worthless as the elderly that you are claiming about? Those Mexicans here illegally have done nothing but destroy our economy (since you made this about Mexicans). The Europeans have several different cultures. They aren't all the same. We have nothing in common with the Spanish culturally for example.

Oh, it just has to be Muslims if not Mexicans then? It can't be the Haitians, the Chinese or any other nationality but Mexican? You hate and racism are showing.

In an economic sense, it's true - in a capitalist system, old people out of the labor force are not desirable, especially if they don't have substantial savings and receive public assistance, or if caring for them (medically, their housing, etc.) sucks up money that could go to other, more productive uses instead.

But the idea that importing a bunch of younger people is any sort of "solution" is mostly just pyramid-scheme thinking. For one thing, the implicit assumption is that all these younger people will be perfectly happy to see their wages taxed heavily in order to finance a bunch of old people who don't share their race or culture. That is - at best - a guess. It also assumes that there will be jobs available for these new immigrants, and that these jobs will pay enough to where the immigrants are not themselves fiscal wards of the state. Labor force and wage growth have been too sluggish since the 1990's to make that assumption.

So I don't think - overall - it's a very good plan.

It's a dumb and racist plan, IMO. Why just Mexicans? Those who put down the elderly will be elderly themselves one day and it is still a despicable remark to make about them when they have contributed to our society and economy for decades. Only some seniors haven't planned well for their retirements not all of them. Who is going to support these new low waged immigrant workers when they retire? Or should we just send them to the gas ovens along with the prior generation of seniors?

Because who else has such incredibly early and frequent births?

The Bush's were about bringing down the middle class, Americans expect a decent wage and decent working conditions, and a middle class standard of living. The Bush clan are elitists who have zero use for a middle class. They picture happy haciendas filled with happy submissive peons working for dirt making their masters very rich.

You can bet slave owners were very happy when the slaves they purchased turned out to be especially fertile --- Bush and Obama both view the illegals like breeding herds. Cheap labor producing tons of more cheap labor.

Old people just need to get out of the way. They cause so much trouble with their right wing views and their tight-fisted attitudes toward education, infrastructure, environment, and R&D. All they care about is taking, taking taking. While I would stop short of outright extermination, I think the best thing would be to let them die by denying anything but palliative health care when they become seriously ill. This would hasten the day when we rid ourselves of the curse of the most selfish generation in the history of humanity - boomers. In their place we would have fine, strong, Hispanic immigrants who are not afraid of hard work and ask for little other than opportunity - like the boomers parents and the generations before.
