Like terrorists wouldn't already know that their phones could be tapped ?
This is not new and phone records/tapping has been in the spotlight for over a decade and the laws allowing that were publicized.

Many people suspected this for years but had no proof and were paranoid conspiracy theorists.
Well where's the apology to these people ? They were right all along.

Obviously gathering massive amounts of phone data didn't prevent Ft Hood or Boston.

If it had an iota of credibility/ethics the obama admin would be seeking to defund the NSA,not going after the individual/s who told the truth about what it does.

And Clapper is really upset over this since he testified to Congress in March that they weren't collecting data on Americans "wittingly".

Isn't that perjury ?
Maybe that's why Lerner took the Fifth rather than say "No we didn't discriminate applications."

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper Lied to Congress About NSA Surveillance | Independent Journal Review
WYDEN: “Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?”
CLAPPER: “No, sir … not wittingly.”
