Where was your outrage when J. Edgar Hoover ran the FBI as his personal fiefdom? Do you think it was all right because he was going after 'liberals', Civil Rights leaders and such, all American citizens? Ruining careers? Entrapment? Dressing in women's clothes?

At the time nothing was leaked.
It's always "after the fact".

Hindsight is 20/20. The issue is today. Do you believe what the government tells you today or will you wait for 50+ years for government records to be released ?

For 42 years the government denied they used census bureau confidential data to round up Japanese Americans. In 2007 the Commerce Dept came clean.

This crap has always been going on. We had a business acquaintance 40 years ago who was native born Taiwanese. All of the letters and packages we both sent back and forth were opened. Sometimes he never got mail we sent him. Thank goodness, both he and DH worked for a phone company so they could call from work.

Go visit the National Archives and look at all of the stuff from WW2 about reporting sedition and suspicious people.

The sad part is that none of this is taught in school in US History.
America and it's leaders are altruistic and have never turned against her own people.

This is the view most Americans have of our history.
Everyone knows we rounded up the Japanese-Americans and history books portray that in a specific way..a POSITIVE way.

Most Americans have no clue what our government has done in the past because they don't bother to further educate themselves after school is done.

Here's what Japanese-Americans were reduced to:
Government and media colluded to convince Americans.

And now we're trying to be convinced that this "modest encroachment" of our rights is OK and nothing to be worried about.

Why are people so lazy?
And how do you feel about the Obama administration doing the same thing that Bush was doing?

And every right wing conservative will be carry pitchforks and torches as they marched to the school house to hang the leftwing-godless-commie-fascist-*******-hates-america-union thug-scab parasite of a public employee for doing so.

(PS and that's just for saying that Thomas Jefferson own slaves)

I'm not at all happy with it, and I'm not happy with alot of things that Pres. Obama is doing, as are many others who voted for him.

We are immensely happy that we voted for him and not his opponent, as that would have increased such malfeasance ten fold had Mittens won the Presidency.

I was just trolling. I didn't realize people would take this seriously. Obviously Bush was way worse than Obama Admin.
