Taco Bell is firing a California employee who was photographed licking a stack of taco shells.
The shot was made in March at a Taco Bell in Ridgecrest, 100 miles north of Los Angeles.
Taco Bell Products Inc. says the shells were provided for workers to practice making its new Cool Ranch tacos and were thrown out without being sold.
Why did you start the discussion? Do you agree, or disagree with what the employee or Taco Bell did? I don't know what the controversey is. The employee apparently violated work rules and the company responded as I think any such company would. BFD.

Does it ever occur to the managers of fast-food restaurants that when you treat your employees as something less than human then that's exactly how they'll behave?
I'm not defending the taco licker he deserved to get fired but something tells me that the Taco Bell work environment unintentionally begets this kind of gross behavior.
It's similar to how Walmart suffers from a lot of internal theft-- it happens because Walmart management treats their employees like petty criminals to begin with.
How the hell can a taco bell exist anywhere in Southern California, especially around LA?
That's like an Olive Garden opening up in Little Italy or a Panda Express in Chinatown
Exactly. Here in Texas I have made it a rule, since a teenager, to never eat at a place with the word 'taco' in the name. We have excellent, privately owned, Mexican restaurants around, and to eat at some idiotic fast-food franchise would be an insult to the palate.

He should have been fired, and if anyone ate the product he licked, they should sue that person.

So you have work experience at both Taco Bell and Walmart? Or how would you others wise know?
Entry level minimum wage jobs should pay executive pay etc?.....Nobody owes anybody a living, if you don't like it........ nobody has a gun to your head.
If your carrier goals are limited to fast food and Walmart, the problem isn't the employer.
