His body was transported with the rest of the evacuated Americans. None of this changes the fact that there was no purpose in having Gibson's team flying to Benghazi. They would have been just 4 more people who needed space on a transport that was going the other way.
There are many wanting to know what really happened and a part of that would be why this lame excuse was used.
Everybody already knows "what really happened." That hasn't been in doubt since before the election.
And I don't think you know what an "excuse is." The talking points that Rice took to the talk shows were not excuses. To this point, no one has offered an excuse. They have instead acknowledged the mistakes (none of which, by the way, had to do with the immediate response) and moved on to ameliorate them.

By definition, yes. There was a coincidence there.
"Gregory Hicks, the deputy chief of mission for the U.S. in Libya and the highest ranking official in the country at the time of the Benghazi attacks, testified before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday that Lt. Col. Gibson was “furious” after receiving a stand down order on the night of Sept. 11, 2012."
Ignoring such testimony would be hearsay, here is the transcript of Hick's testimony. Please point out to me exactly where it says that Gibson was given an order to stand down.
What happened in Benghazi is terrible, but it's hardly unprecedented, and on balance, President Obama has done a much better job of protecting not just the country but also the military than his predecessor.
MAYBE if you had watched the hearings, or MAYBE IF you had been following the events instead of watching MSNBC YOU wouldn't be asking questions that ANYONE who HAD watched the hearings or have been following the events since it happened would already know.
Your silly question has been answered right here in this thread. Look it up and quit making such a fool of yourself.
The CIA nor the White House believed it was about a video. They simply couldn't come up with a better excuse for getting caught unprepared.
Except Benghazi was not an embassy or a consulate.
