How do increasing deficits because we are cutting government income help anyone?
1. Government revenues currently are higher than those seen in the Bush year (record revenues)
2. Government spending is far higher than the Bush years
3. If we ENSLAVED all those making more than $250K per year (taking 100% of their income), we would generate only $900 billion in additional revenue
4. The top 10% of income earners pay most of the taxes (which have resulted in record revenues), while the bottom 50% pay nothing. If we are looking at "fairness", the bottom 50% should be paying more.
5. The only way to control spending is a balanced budget amendment
6. The only "large" source of revenue available is a VAT tax
The old standby propaganda catch phrase invented by right wing propaganda minister Frank Luntz...
Quote:
If you have been hearing the term “job creators” a lot lately, it’s because Frank Luntz wanted you to.
As PBS put it, Luntz’s expertise is “testing language and finding words that will help his clients sell their products, or turn public opinion on an issue or a candidate.” In other words, propaganda.
Here are some actual examples of Luntz’s fine work:
Don’t say “oil drilling.” Say “energy exploration.”
Don’t say “inheritance tax.” Say “death tax.”
Don’t say “global warming.” Say “climate change.”
Don’t say “healthcare reform.” Say “government takeover.” And don’t say “greedy, soulless multinational corporations who don’t give a damn about you.” Say “job creators.”
Luntz is like a serial killer of the English language.
As soon as I heard the term “job creators,” I said to myself, “that sounds like Frank Luntz And sure enough, it’s right in there in Frank Luntz’s latest book, Win: The Key Principles to Take Your Business from Ordinary to Extraordinary. Here are Luntz’s exact words: “You don’t create jobs by making life difficult for job creators.” That’s under the heading “The Ten Rules for 2012: What Americans Really Want to Hear from Their Representatives.”

This post was answered here. Anyone can exaggerate revenues and spending by failing to account for inflation and population growth.
The top 10% of income earners pay most of the taxes because they make the income, while the bottom 50% earn very little income.
It doesn't. It's a stupid myth created by the radical left that somehow, there is enough endless money from the 1% to take and give to the poor. The radical left hates trickle down economics, but trickle up economics doesn't work either. It makes the poor less inclined to help themselves.

I'm just curious how raising taxes is helping you?
Also, when Clinton raised taxes, the economy improved, so this whole lower taxes on the rich so they will create jobs thing is actually entirely false.
BULL! the economy improved in the 90's thanks to the dot-com bubble that he had nothing to do with.
And you people on the left seem to think lending money to people who can't pay it back is a good thing.
Regardless of how hard someone works, they can't personally provide clean waterways and clean skies if the laws and regulations aren't in place to stop corporations from using the public's rivers and air as their garbage dump.
While the right-wing looks upon all regulations as a restraint on liberty, laws that protect the environment, food, drugs and the public safety benefits all, whether you are rich or poor.
All regulations ARE a restraint on liberty. Some of them simply are necessary. No one is suggesting having zero regulations. The world isn't black and white, as much as you might want it to be.
And nice job avoiding the point I made as well.
