What sort of sick world do you live in that that's considered "not in power?"
The sick world is when a simple majority in the Senate should rule the day, but it does not. A sick world is when voting districts have been drawn so the republican candate always wins the election even though they are less than the majority. A sick world is when the-radical Right's views of the way's of a few overrule the wishes of the people. A sick world is when the 1 percent pay no taxes and at will fill their coffers in off shore accounts. A sick world is when the Senete minority leader vows in public to derail any progress , any legislation that could be for the good of the Nation, on pure political grounds, to hell with getting anything done......The list is long and getting longer when a once conservative Party is taken over by the far right Tea Party nuts. When intelligently challenged crazy representives get way more attenuation than they should for the lies they spread. ......

You do realize that you could replace Republican with Democrat in your statement and rewind to before the 2010 midterms, and it would still be completely accurate, right? Reid has vowed just as often as McConnell to derail any legislation from the opposition. Reid and crew have failed to pass a budget in four years. How do you explain or excuse that blatant failure to govern? There are far more 1% Democrats in Congress than there are Republicans. 7 to the 10 wealthiest members of Congress are Democrats. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, one of Romney's most vocal critics about off shore investments, and foreign tax havens has money in the Cayman Islands, and in Swiss bank accounts herself. She also has a large number of foreign investments. Pelosi, who joined in the chorus attack Romney about "outsource" has a significant financial stake in the pioneering outsourcing firm ModusLink Global, the very firm she tried to demonize Romney for being associated with.

...and that is only a couple of examples from one state. Gerrymandering is a practice that needs to be stopped but if you are of the belief Republicans are the only ones guilty of it those have to be some pretty big blinders.
