However, the final bill, after being worked on by the Democratic-led Senate, put in more money than what had passed in the House. The final bill, which passed with bipartisan support, gave a total of $2.37 billion to these accounts for fiscal 2012 -- about $270 million less than what the administration had requested.
Conclusion: The GOP-led House did initially approve about $330 million less than what the administration requested, but in the final bill, passed with bipartisan support after adjustments by the Senate, put the amount a little closer to the administration's target.
Not even close to the amount Obama requested. However, we can see that the Democratic led Senate had the sense to restore some of the Cuts that the GOP House made.

Quilliam, an British think tank that aims to oppose Muslim extremism, asserted on Wednesday that the attack on the consulate was not part of a protest but a "planned terrorist assault" to avenge Libi's death.

Quilliam said that the evidence pointing to such a conclusion came from witness statements that those outside the consulate were carrying RPGs and that the assault came in two apparently calculated waves, the second of which targeted the Americans after they had fled the consulate for a safe house.

But you'll say this is all "made up" because of the source.
Maybe you should read a wider variety of news since you are asking for information that's been publicized quite a bit since Benghazi happened.

Two different funding appropriations. Cannot move money from one appropriated area to another. If only the GOP led House would have approved funding for security that Obama requested.............................

Oh, by the way, that is what government is supposed to do... Bipartisan. One side starts low, the other high, the work together and come to an agreement.

Their God is in the house. They worship him and he can do nothing wrong in their eyes. This is what cult leaders do, they mesmerize their followers to do and believe everything they say. Some even take cyanide and kill themselves. You can not help these people.

You morons, no one is perfect and if you think Obama is you better do some soul searching. No one is perfect.

Didn't the GOP have the majority? Couldn't the GOP have voted to approve the funding Obama requested and get it regardless of the democratic vote. Can't the GOP take responsibility for anything?

Obama requested much more money for embassy security than what the GOP led House would give him.

No, what that proves is that Congress wasn't willing to be inconvenienced like the rest of us. When it's about them, isn't it amazing that they can find money? God help them that they found ways to restore funding for programs where people are suffering for real, like Meals on Wheels. Let those old people starve, what's important is the Congressmen don't have to wait to fly.

See above. There are more important cuts that should be restored first. No one is going to truly suffer or die if they don't see the White House. We're in austerity, remember?

Not true. The cut-happy House cut the budget to embassy security. They should be made to own up to their austerity philosophy, which, as has been shown, has real world consequences. Benghazi is the perfect example.

I used that to show a pattern of disconnect people on the right have with the decisions their champions in Congress are making. They seem to always be stunned by the consequences of their policies, when the rest of us see them coming a mile away.

Even Fox News knows.

Quote:
"The fact is that since 2011, the House has cut embassy security by hundreds of millions of dollars, below the amounts requested by the president," said Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., top Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
Cummings called on Republicans to join him in calling for a supplemental funding bill to "restore funding for embassy security," suggesting lawmakers do so by closing tax breaks for oil companies.
