You know I find it funny how the anti-smoking NAZIs want to tax smokers for their little pet projects such as funding sports arenas (sin taxes were used to fund stadiums for the Browns, Indians, and Cavs) yet we are banned from smoking in them, or limited as to where we can smoke in those places.
I do not mind if they have a designated area but it bugs me if they do not allow smoking anywhere {Jacobs field}. I have seen many times where fans just ignore it and light up and nothing happens to them except dirty looks. I have quit mostly for my health but was tired of the cost and always being a target for taxes.

Smoking and obesity are the main cause of our outrageously unfair and ridiculous healthcare system.
Obesity alone is a factor in 70% of healthcare provider claims. Damage from cigarettes usually means therapy for the rest of ones life. People should pay a premium on selfish indulgences. If your habit of choice effects other people, it should cost you.
How many obese people think crackheads are irresponsible? Well, apply that same theory your own habits.
Tax, tax tax away . . . More please
Consumption of food is a necessity... not so for tobacco and crack. While you can abstain from ever smoking tobacco or crack, you can't abstain from eating food. Unfortunately for many, eating when combined with other mental/health issues leads to abuse and eventually obesity.

Indeed another example of someone not wanting to address the underlying issue's but rather tax the symptoms.
They are all one trick ponies since they know they can single out smokers because they do not have a coalition to grease palms in DC. It makes them easy targets for our gutless leaders. I doubt we will see to many {R}s commenting since congress and Bush did this exact tax just a few years ago to fund health care for children. Obama learns well this time it is to provide day care for 4 year olds and people act like their is a difference
You are DEAD wrong. Bush VETOED SCHIP.
Facts are important.
It's easy to see why 0bama has so many supporters. They ignore the truth.

But they tax fast food here if you eat in, but dont tax it if you take it home. I guess one can argue they only need to eat at home but if you're out for a week and need to eat out, you should starve.

You dont know what the hell you are talking about.
It was OBAMA that passed the tax increase, Bush veto'd them.
Congress voted in favor of a cigarette tax increase twice in 2007, and both times the bill was vetoed by President George W. Bush. On February 4, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Children’s Health Care Insurance Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA), which raised the federal tax on cigarettes by 61 cents [2]. This increase raised the federal tax to a total of $1.00 per pack [3]. The tax had not been increased nationally since 2002 when Congress raised it from 34 cents to 39 cents [4].

No matter how many times it's said, there are those who will die still believing the nonsense they post on the internet.

Consumption of candy bars and a Big Mac is not a necessity. Let's start taxing fat people.

Judging by the "anecdotal evidence" I see everywhere, every day, they'd make a LOT more money than just taxing smokers. People's these days are HUGE! It's more disgusting to me than an occasional smoker.
