And you are as right about all that as you are right about him wanting to decrease oil production - in other words not right at all. How can you expect ANYONE to take you seriously when you are so off-base all the time?

Wait until energy cost get so high that you can't afford to live. I'll bet you any money you'll be out there in Yellowstone and Yosemite with a pick and shovel digging for oil!

According to the revised State department assessment there will be 35 permanent and 15 temporary jobs on the pipeline when construction is complete. The refinery that will be processing before the product is shipped to China will provide a few more.

Maybe you should pay attention to the SUBJECT (ie OIL prices). Obama was talking about ELECTRICITY, not gasoline. And the cap-and-trade plan he endorsed to limit carbon emissions — which died in the Senate in 2009 — included provisions aimed at protecting consumers from higher prices - so you probably shouldn't be throwing around the word "genius" in such a sarcastic manner when you can't seem to keep track of the subject being discussed.

But you need a pipeline to get the oil to the refineries, and there are not any where the oil is located? Short-sighted? Yes.

The refineries in this country are in Texas, California, Louisiana and one or two in New Jersey. There is a small one in New Mexico.

None of those places are near Alberta or North Dakota.
