Before the election, corporations were telling their employees that if they voted for Obama, those employees would suffer the consequences. Here's one, probably many more.

This is how the rich people play politics, dirty.

How do employers know who you voted for? I thought the election process was secret? If my employer demanded to know who I voted for I would sure tell them none of your business. Work is work, private life is private life.

This. My boss has no idea who I voted for, I have no idea who he voted for, and neither of us cares.

How does her boss know whom she voted for.

I don't like Obama think he is a terrible bully President, terrible business practices.

Awful economy, no hope what change!

However that being said, your boss in no way, should fire you for your choice in who you vote for. That is plain wrong.

It is still within all of our rights, to vote our choice, not whom others wish you to vote for. Happens quite a lot with some you know.

And isn't this discrimination of some sort.

If he fired 22 employees due to financial reasons - and didn't single anyone out as to political affiliation - I don't think there is an issue.

IF you force someone out due to the way they voted; you might expect a lawsuit.

What's the issue?

Certainly but the lawsuit in question here is "he said, she said" based on the article.

No, it is not discrimination. Communists and their supporters are exempt from federal employment discrimination laws.
"As used in this subchapter, the phrase 'unlawful employment practice' shall not be deemed to include any action or measure taken by an employer, labor organization, joint labor-management committee, or employment agency with respect to an individual who is a member of the Communist Party of the United States or of any other organization required to register as a Communist-action or Communist-front organization by final order of the Subversive Activities Control Board pursuant to the Subversive Activities Control Act of 1950" --- 42 USC § 2000e–2(f)
Anyone who voted for Obama is obviously a communist supporter and deserves to lose their job, at the very least.
