The biggest oversight Shapiro made was about Cho at VT. Cho used handguns to murder more than Lanza and Lanza was gunning down babies, whereas Cho was gunning down grown adults, WITH HANDGUNS!

In the video Piers appears to want to solve ills in our society by simply getting rid of scary looking weapons rather than by addressing the fact that most gun deaths in the United States are as a result of handguns. This whole debate has gotten so convoluted that talk show hosts like Piers care more about ratings than the lives of innocent young children.
Most people I talk to suspect that if Congress could sensibly balance the budget or figure out a practical way of paying down the 16 trillion dollar national debt that many of these gruesome rifle deaths would go away as mysteriously as they came.
You are correct. Another problem we now face is that in cede-ing our border controls to some other country a thousand miles east of here, just like guns from Iowa can easily find their way to New york, so can guns from some other european country find their way to the UK.

Gawdamighty, Grizz, did you do a job with this post!!! I especially liked your last paragraph since it is so right, but then how do we know that all this howling about guns isn't being done to get ready for the upcoming screaming and howling about the debt limit? It seems that this happens so often these days and sure could be what is going on here. Leaners are very emotional and this can keep them busy.
I must agree that they are after handguns and using those terrible looking things they call assault weapons as their crutch. My favorite military weapon, back in the day, was the M1 carbine and I don't know how they would grade that thing as an assault rifle since it didn't look mean at all. It would do much more damage with its .30 caliber bullet than those .223s that Lantz used. I think they don't really understand so many things like that.

True. I shouldn't have labeled them "yahoos" as Piers would have been shut down by far more (John Lott in particular who Piers and is sleazy guest who just screamed over him filibuster style).
The ladies he's had on the last couple of days have made Piers look like an uninformed bully as well.
Mr. Shapiro's calm, cool and collected nature makes Piers look completely unhinged by comparison.
