Brazil is a sovereign nation. Why is this any business of ours to worry about? They have their reasons, and that's all that matters. If its so important to you, then fly down to Brazil and help to sttop it.
Its just completely daft. Law should never be retrospective. Are we supposed to compensate relatives of women who were burned at the stake for 'witchcraft' 500 years ago, or families whos ancestors had to work as children because there was no minimum working age in the 1700s? Well, thats pretty much everyone.

I can imagine these land grabs involved lots of guns and ropes and burning of villages like we did it. Can't say on the Smallpox blankets though.
