Brazilian police and military personnel..forcibly relocating communities at gunpoint to give Indians land back (legal, suspect)

Federal Brazilian police and military personnel, some wearing United Nations insignia, are forcibly relocating whole communities in Brazil at gunpoint under the guise of returning huge tracts of land to a small group of Indians whose ancestors were allegedly there at some point....Reporters on the scene and even federal lawmakers suspect bloodshed may be near. The government, however, has vowed to expel the communities at any cost, threatening those who refuse to comply with criminal charges and even confiscation of what little remains of their personal property.

If the Brasilians were armed, the problem would not be what it is today.

Only the building has value. We all know no one profits from nothing when it comes to land. We all know its no place to look for revenue.

Brazil is a sovereign nation. Why is this any business of ours to worry about? They have their reasons, and that's all that matters. If its so important to you, then fly down to Brazil and help to sttop it.

Its just completely daft. Law should never be retrospective. Are we supposed to compensate relatives of women who were burned at the stake for 'witchcraft' 500 years ago, or families whos ancestors had to work as children because there was no minimum working age in the 1700s? Well, thats pretty much everyone.

I can imagine these land grabs involved lots of guns and ropes and burning of villages like we did it. Can't say on the Smallpox blankets though.
