If they cannot get the job done, find compromise, fire them all. Each one of them need to be held accountable for not doing their job. Talk, Talk, talk, and measuring how well their PR is going over with the public while the ship sinks. The art of being a politician is finding compromise and getting the job done. The mark of failure is arguments, disagreement that results in nothing but a sinking ship and more excuses.

What good is firing them if they'd only be replaced with a new group of drama queens?

I truly believe both major parties deliberately maintain the divisive nature of today's politics, it keeps people from stepping back and realizing both sides pretty much suck. The only way I see it changing is for someone to develop a viable plan to eliminate the 2 party system.

(S)he'd certainly get my vote.

Can't fire any of em. Nevada had a shot to fire Reid and they retained him even with his pathetic performance. Us had a chance to get rid of Obama and retained him. Boehner just ran unopposed in Ohio so we got him for two more years. Yippee!!!

Re-elections, as elections have consequences. All three were re-elected.

Seems like both parties have a fair amount of discord and disagreement in the Cliff talk/nergotiations. Examples: Boehner had to withdraw Plan B from consideration due to discord within his own party. Obama was willing to agree to Chained CPI for SS colas. Reid, just this weekend, said it never should have been considered. All are culpable.
