We had a lite dinner last , just snacks. Fried shrimp, cocktail sauce, the worlds best ring bologna( Hippeys), and best potato chips( Goods) with dip, cheese and wine. Then watched some TV and fell asleep with the dog at my feet.
Now its all Day A Christmas Story and carols on the radio with a quiet pa dutch Christmas dinner( which is a feast).
Sounds great.
Hopefully we send a prayer or two towards Newtown, Portland and Aurora during this season. My most sincere prayers and thoughts are sent your way, via 651, MN.
Had a great Christmas. Went out for a nice steak dinner last night and opened presents at midnight. The wife loved my gift choices (whew!) and we spent today just hanging out with our dogs and relaxing. One nice surprise was that we woke up to snow on the ground. The weather folks had been telling us no white Christmas this year, to our chagrin, but when we woke up and looked outside...BOOM! Snow! Yeah!! Happy wife
My daughter and I saw Les Mis and had a great sushi dinner afterwards. I've never eaten out on Christmas before but it's going to be a new tradition, everyone was having so much fun. I cooked last night for extended family and wasn't in the mood for leftovers today...haha.
I alwasy get hungry for chinese food at Christmas when I watch " A Christmas Story". But now we have leftovers for the next few days, the chicken, stuffing, then pot pie and soup.
It wasn't all that cold/wintry here on Christmas Day. I was just wearing a hoodie. It was 50 or close to it and I was outdoors for at least 4 hours feeding the birds and cleaning out the car.
It's cold here! It was well below zero last night, with a wind chill of -20, and we're looking for more frigid weather tonight. I hope all of our friends here on the east coast and south are safely home from their travels--our big snow storm was last week, but it looks like you guys really have a mess on your hands,, or you're about to have one.
We had a really nice Christmas. My family got together last weekend, and my husband's family will have their big get together next weekend, so it was just our immediate family and my parents. I loved it.
I saw the Hobbit with my kids and my late wifes folks and then took them out for dinner. Just got done playing cards with them.
