This video is a few years old but it should make those insane few who think it smart to arm elementary school teachers have some pause.

Any time there is a loaded weapon there is a chance it will go off. All the safety in the world still won't make it 100% safe. I'm thinking that's why we came up with the idea of "gun free zone" in the first place? Probably.

LOL

It never hurts to watch that video again. One can only laugh and facepalm at the episode that just took place in that classroom.

I certainly hope he was fired.

Even without the gun, I would not have hired him.
The guys from The Hangover would have done a better job.

So what, no guns for DEA agents?

Kind of goes against your argument if you think about it.

That video is a classic example of the hubris a trained gun professional gets when he holds a loaded weapon. The same hubris I see on these message boards every single day. Guns are like a substitute phallus or something. They are bought to compensate for something obviously lacking. Afraid of the world? No problem! Buy a gun and you'll feel like a bada**ss!

The guy in the video guy is a friggin' D.E.A. agent! If HE can't handle it properly, why would the NRA want a gun in everybody's hand? Nothing the pro-gun lobby says makes sense anymore.

Nor does it make sense for you to fight against gun rights for ordinary citizens while blabbering about the stupidity of law enforcement agents with guns, yet having no issue with it.

Can you say hypocrite?

Do you even understand the word "hypocrite"? I do have a problem with that video! How is comparing the ridiculousness of this trained DEA agent mishandling a gun to the entire untrained U.S. population handling a gun, being a hypocrite???

I would only be a hypocrite if I made excuses for fools that mishandle guns and still wanted untrained people to own guns.

Because, as gun owners always say, law enforcement is not always as proficient as you "only cops should have guns" types seem to think.

Which is why it's stupid to classify ordinary citizens as morons who will wind up shooting themselves, as is often done.

As you see here, morons come in all shapes, sizes, and law enforcement statuses.
