No, we don't. The flag as our primary symbol of our nation has a written code as to how it is to be flown, disposed of (by burning. A flag is never to be cleaned or thrown out in the garbage), flown at half mast, etc.

While I don't know if there is a criminal charge that accompanies the code, I doubt there is, unless such charges come from state laws.

It is a matter of respect. Hawkeye doesn't respect much of anything other than himself.

I have a fairly large farm which has had the American flag flying over it. The US is finished ($24 trillion in debt when Obama is out of office) and will therefore fly the American flag upside down on my farm.

They should now fly "The Jolly Roger" over the white house.

Truthfully, who really cares what you do with your flag! If you are too stupid to realize that this country is run by corporations in the first place, you are really not smart enough to be in a position to provide food to rest of the country. If you are so worried about the national debt why don't you give back any subsidies that you are getting? As far as flying a flag over your property why don't you fly the Exxon flag, or Microsoft it has the same meaning anyway as far as our supposely represenatives in D.C are concerned

If I owned an American Flag I would have been flying it upside down for years. At least since the patriot act was passed that steam rolled most of the constitution.

Actually, desecration of the American flag is legal due to first Amendment rights.

I agree that it is disgusting to throw out his US flag over the 2012 election, but why remove him from the country? He has the legal right to do it. Something tells me that if he were a liberal burning the US flag in protest of Bush a few years ago, your comment would be something along the lines of "I disagree but he has the right to do so."

The one that the 2008 version of Obama opposed, but the 2011 version of Obama renewed?

The original patriot act is the renewed patriot act, no doubt with adjustments thrown in.

The man said he wanted to leave with his assets anyways. What stops him? federal subsidies or tax write offs?

And to think just a few years ago all of you wing nuts were attempting to claim you were more patriotic than anyone else. My, a few lost elections, due to your own incompetence no less, and suddenly your exposed for the unpatriotic liars you've always been.

I wonder if he's still flying the flag upside down?
