Yup, and it sounds like now we need to add "No flying the flag upside down" AND "No flag-burning" amendments to the Constitution (although I'm kinda OK with the rolls of T.P. featuring the stars & stripes)!

I think it's fine for individuals to fly the flag upside down as in a temper tantrum. I think the McDonald's owner or manager was nuts for alienating some of his/her customer base.

Given the results of the election, I took down the American flag from my house and threw it away (along with the state flag). I was intrigued by the McDonalds who flew the US flag upside down and at half mast as a distress signal.
I have a fairly large farm which has had the American flag flying over it. The US is finished ($24 trillion in debt when Obama is out of office) and will therefore fly the American flag upside down on my farm.
They should now fly "The Jolly Roger" over the white house.

hawkeye, what would you say if a bunch of liberals flew their flags upside down? There would be a complete and utter blow-up session based on the assumption that said liberals hated the country and were a bunch of socialist commies.
However, since I actually believe in free speech/expression, I say fly it upside down, no skin off my back. Enjoy.
I flew mine upside down for six months after the first 4 years. It will stay that way for the next four.
This guy also claims to have no allegiance to the US, says that it is "finished," is upset about the democratic process that elected a president he did not endorse, and still retains his US citizenship...
From what I can tell, he's nothing but an unstable arm chair big mouth. I just hope that he is not so nutty as to grab a gun and shoot people. No need for a US version of Anders Brevik.

You guys are way off base here.....This is suppose to be an intellegent discussion of the topic....Not a seek and DESTROY mission of those who think differently than you. You are completely missing the point. You are missing the big picture and long term affects of the decisions that are being made by the current administration. I am part American Indian....my ancestors helped start this country. While we are more fortunate than many other countries....we who believe in the Constitution are very uncomfortable with loss of rights that have transpired in this term. A lot of us are old enough to be concerned about several of the excutive orders that have been signed in the last few years.
I DO NOT CARE what color the president is.....but I do care whether or not he up holds ALL of the Constitution and the Bill OF Rights. Our processes of goverment should be conducted in the way that it was designed in order to have a Checks and Balance.
America is a land of many nationalities....beliefs....and FREEDOMS..... your right to freedom of speach is no less or more important than anothers.
Nothing will be left of america to leave in 4 years
