I assume you were in Vietnam (I was too); may I ask where you were there?

I was part of the US Navy's Riverine Forces operation in and around the Mekong Delta in 1966-67. We were tasked with separation the Vietnamese from their guns. Frequently they vehemently objected and a lot of people on both sides died violently.

I worked on the Navy Huey gunships out of Vung Tau at that time. Yeah, I got lucky. I was a contractor.

Remember the beach in front of the main street with bakeries and the wine shops. It was like the 1930's.

I remember all the round kiosks down by front beach, but all I remember is 33 beer and Bier LaRue...I never saw wine. Lot's of Hennesee and coke. Lot's of Saigon tea bars.

"Those were the days, my friend.
We thought they would never end."

So goes the song.

You are talking above their heads.

Keep up with current posts.
I was responding to post #11. He mentioned nothing of the sort in that post. Don't be so quick to correct, when you are simply wrong.

Ted Turner is the Donald Trump of the left. Heads up/Spoiler Alert: Both extremes are morons.

: Well, what — no, I think it’s — I think it’s good, because it’s so clear that we’re programmed and we’re born to love and help each other, not to kill each other, to destroy each other. That’s an aberration. That’s left over from hundreds of years ago. It’s time for to us start acting enlightened.
