Just wondering how many C-D posters actually donate to political campaigns instead of trying to accomplish the same thing by posting obsessively on here.
For the purposes of this poll, a political "campaign" pertains to a candidate or a ballot measure, not a general party war chest or a SuperPAC.
Nope. As far as I know I've never donated to a political candidate/cause in my life. I donate money to help the sick and less fortunate, not to fund other peoples ambitions. I also throw a few bucks towards things that bring me joy...whatever they may be.

Have for the first time in my life. I've given money to Romney, Chris Edwards (running for Congress here in LV) and Dean Heller (to defeat Shelly Berkley **shudder**)! Not a lot of money, but what I could. The day I gave the most to all three was the day the SCOTUS ruled Obamacare was a tax!
We (my wife and I) are our own charity. We can no longer afford to give to even the charities we wish to give to, let alone a political donation. Perhaps when my wife and I no longer have any medical bills, get out of our trailer park to a home, and have money left over then we'll start donating money to charity again.

No. Politicans come and go, and there are better causes to donate to than some politician's bank account.

Just a quick word on "we can't afford".
I am not saying you should donate to anyone, but I'd say 99% of the time when someone says "I can't afford" anything, they have cable TV, they have a cell phone, and they drive a vehicle with very poor gas mileage.
Not saying that's you, but most of the time, many people can afford way more then they think they can.
Its hard, but a family of three can make ends meet in a lot of areas of the country, for less then 20k a year.
I have only donated to Romney since I have no Senators running this year and my new Representative is not a Republican I want to see elected. If my present Rep. had asked for some money he would have got it because he does great work for the people he represents.
