See? This portrays the office of the President as having more power over government than it actually does while portraying Obama as a corrupt communist. Is there any substance to this? No.
Unfortunately, many Americans are just fools when it comes to government and the economy. But it's just as bad when presidential candidates promise the moon, and convince people that they can somehow magically control the economy.

Reality check for the uninformed: There's very little the President can do to improve or worsen the economy, regardless of their claims.

What you miss is the economy that we had, but it was built on bubbles, some national, some international, all of which popped in 2007. To thank GWB or blame Obama for problems which have been building for a decade or longer and which have occurred across the world is to ignore the available information.

And what of Congress? Why is this one man's fault? That man, mind you, has no authority to write or vote on laws. He can only sign or veto the laws which Congress sends to his desk. Even then, Congress can over-run his veto.

His economy was built on government spending and a housing bubble created or at least encouraged by corrupt government agencies. I'm glad he is gone. He did nothing to reduce government spending, regulations or eliminate outdated or useless government agencies. What exactly does the Dept. of Labor do?
