Why does MH Perry think this murder is of any more note than the hundreds in her city of New Orleans? Oh yes it's one of the 5% of murder cases where the victim is black and the killer is not.

It's a "feel good" murder. One where you can be outraged and grandstand and finger point like politicians like to do.
It's also like drownings and shark attacks with the media. Drownings are vastly more common....but the shark attack is salacious. Being able to inject elements of racism or social injustice into a story which is otherwise just some idiot killing somebody....and that's routine and boring.
I've pointed out repeatedly that Daniel Adkins was shot within 3 weeks of Trayvon and his situation was even more egregious where he never even made contact with the shooter (whom shot him from the safety of his car).
No charges ever filed. Most people reading this have never heard of Daniel Adkins, shot at an Arizona taco bell....wonder why?
