Obama Campaign Caught Lying About Disgraced Ad

Mitt Romney Press | August 8, 2012
Location

Boston, MA United States

“With unemployment at a five-month high and stagnant economic growth, President Obama and his campaign are willing to say and do anything to hide the President’s disappointing record. But they’re not entitled to repeatedly mislead voters. Americans deserve better – they deserve a president who’s willing to run an honest campaign and be honest about his own record.” – Ryan Williams, Romney Campaign Spokesman

Right now the biggest political story of the day is the disgraceful ad released by the pro-Obama super PAC, Priorities USA, that shamelessly, openly, and falsely blames Mitt Romney for the death of a woman afflicted with cancer. In the ad, a man named Joe Soptic tells a tragic but completely misleading story that lays the unfortunate death of his wife at Romney's feet. The ad is so outrageous, even the mainstream media is outraged and has demanded the Obama Campaign repudiate it.

The response from the Obama camp has uniformly been to declaratively deny any knowledge of the content in the ad. This includes Obama Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter, Obama Campaign Senior Adviser Robert Gibbs, and Obama Campaign Spokesperson Jen Psaki.
So, you have the biggest political story in the country, you have three Obama officials (two of them very high-profile) playing Who me? when it comes to the story, and then you discover the following….

Apologies, I haven't seen this thread til now. There are a couple of other threads on the same topic to which I have responded. One to include the denial of Obama's campaign staff of any knowledge of the facts of Mr. Soptic's sad tale. Only to find that the campaign has filmed the man before, wearing the same shirt. And have heard his story on a conference call - prior to - the release of the fraudulent video. Ms. Cutter involved at each occasion.

I'd write more but we both know how this volume reads.

Thanks for posting.

RECKLESS DISREGARD: Video: Obama campaign now pretending it didn’t know details of steelworker’s story — after featuring him in two ads. “So eager is lifelike talking-points robot Stephanie Cutter to keep the campaign’s fingerprints off the cheap lies in the PAC ad that she claims at 4:00 below not to know the facts about when Soptic’s wife got sick or when she died. Minor problem: The campaign itself featured Soptic in not one but two ads several months ago and had him tell the story of his wife’s death after he lost his insurance during a conference call with — ta da — Stephanie Cutter. You’ll find the audio of that below too; look out for Cutter’s cameo at the very end.”

I hear you bro. It's an uphill battle for people that love this country and love its freedoms. The left has managed to get their claws in deep and it's going to take some time to pry them loose.

Speaks to either the desperation of the Obama side or just the typical campaigning of a Chicago thug.

He can't talk economy, so people are going to make it up as they go along and the press will be so far up Obama's rear end trying to help him that they will never get the brown off themselves IMO.
