As an independent voter I get angry plenty of times that there is no political candidate there that is the right choice. Sometimes, you don't even know if either of them are being honest.
In this age some people have the luxury of being more extreme in the political compass and have no problems voting for the candidate they are voting for, I don't have that luxury.
You vote for who you consider to be "the lesser of two evils" or you throw away your vote on a third party candidate (well, at least the vast majority of the time, that's "throwing away your vote") or you don't vote at all.

Precisely. Everyone is in the same boat each time an election comes up. My son says he will show them by voting for a third party. It makes no difference and for the most part they don't even notice.
I am of the opinion that there is nobody in the world who is better suited than I am to run my life. Nobody on earth has more practice running it than I do. (My voting record is pristine, my results are questionable.)
Who is better at running your life than you are? Who has more practice?
You refuse to participate in a flawed process and understand the consequences of that.
False: You must choose.
False: If you don't choose, you are part of the problem.
True: The only authority someone has over you is that which you give them.
Don't give them the authority and you don't have to live under their rules. It's simple.
To the extent that you do, you do so in protest. And you openly desent.
It was noticed when Perot ran as an alternative to the other two options. There have been many arguements over whether or not Nader or Buchanan skewed the elections. (would the votes for Buchanan in Florida went to Bush making Florida a moot point)?
No, not voting for neither of the two major candidates is not throwing your vote away. The problem is too many voting for someone they know that will do a poor job because they like the alternative even less.
When you can't make up your mind, vote Republican.
