It certainly appears to me that that may well be the story. The latest biography of Obama written by a friend of The One has said that it is nearly all myth and has set out to prove it. If you read this link make sure that you read some of the comments and you may find some very scary things in them.

Here is a group of maybe lies from The One that I would like to hear some tell how the lies are all from the writer of the piece. I think that too many of them found in the Maraniss biography may well be truth and nothing else. For instance, the one about not getting to start on the high school basketball team because of his race. Maybe none of these things are truthful and The One has been the truth teller all along.

Obvious, yes, but somehow the MSM managed to hide it from enough people for him to be elected as the hero of HopenChange and some still believe it. There are too many people who still believe all of both his creation of the man books completely. They just won't back off although they get to see more and more of what he lied about.
