We're discussing the U.S. as a whole not just California.

obviously, illegals are not to blame for everything that goes wrong in this country-for the rest we can blame congress and the president.

if we didn't have so much restrictive legislation, licenses, fees, "zones", etc., we could have businesses replacing those that left, and the door could hit the departing businesses on their way out.

i think that businesses that leave the country should be taxed at a higher rate than businesses that stay strictly in the united states.

our country has become a country which REWARDS lawbreakers and bad behavior-from illegal immigrants, welfare/social service cheats scamming the system, the bankers and their obscene bonuses after socialized bailouts, politicians raising their own salaries and benefits when the people they serve are struggling,etc.--not to mention the LIE of all those people living in homes not paying mortgages or rent, because that also preserves a LIE.

and, of course, obamacare is a disaster for business, so we will have to see how that plays out.

all of this is unsustainable, of course, and the question just becomes when will we default and what form will it take.

we have to try to get a system in place where small businesses can start up without too much aggravation, and productivity is again encouraged in this country, and bad behavior is actually punished instead of rewarded.

everyone benefits from a system where they are incentivized to be good.
There was a better welfare system, I'm not sure why Obama changed it. Not that it was perfect but with Clinton's welfare the people could only stay on it 2 years at a time and only 5 years in total. It seemed reasonable to me as there are times when people really do need help and the time limit was perfect as it prevented people from staying on it forever.

As for the businesses that leave the country aren't they already taxed higher? I suppose the cheap labor they find in other countries is enough to make up for the high tax imports?

That's if you only think of welfare as TANF which is the cash give-away to welfare mothers and can last 5 years -- Clinton renamed the cash assistance that some people think is welfare and limited it to 5 years.

However there is no limit for Medicaid, food stamps, WIC, Section 8, Head start, free meals in school and many other welfare handout programs. It is only that cash reward for having babies you can't afford that is limited.

66% of "hispanic" births in California are to Medicaid. Virtually all these babies will qualify the family for food stamps, WIC, Section 8, etc. If the mother isn't here legally then she doesn't get that free cash, the 25% of "hispanics" getting cash checks aka TANFare here legally.

Not only the highest number of births of any group (by far) but the most paid for by the government.

That's only one state, when discussing illegals we must include all the U.S. and there is a limit to wic, once the child reaches 5 years they can't get it anymore (unless they changed the law recently?). As for your claim that illegals can't make it without welfare (not sure if you said that in another thread or if it was someone else), how do you know that? What I'm about to say is completely anecdotal, but I have met some illegals that work two jobs to make ends meet, if they had welfare why would they bother with two jobs? Is it possible that there are some illegals who do this as well? Now that info wouldn't be good either since they would be taking the jobs of lower class Americans and they're also spending less time with their kids which is not good for their social and educational development (there's studies that show that parents who spend more time with children do better in school).

My gawd! The Presidente called it a "humanitarian action", is that because sending them back to their nation of ORIGIN is AN UN-HUMANITARIAN ACTION?

GTFOH!
No kidding he has BILLIONS coming into his country yearly! Why the H*ll would he not like it. His gov puts out pamphlets on how to maneuver in this country when the illegals get here! They have found them at camp sites in the desert.
