The principal of the school, located in Southeast Washington, told the television station that the seminar is intended to “send better messages” to children and the adults in their lives.

“The message that if someone hits you, hit them back — it does more harm and does more hurt than good,” J. Harrison Coleman said. “My hope is that the takeaway is that we stop some of the needless violence that is going on in the community.”
I don't see anything wrong with this to be honest. If Trayvon had received this message he maybe alive today. A lot of these young black kids need to learn proper conflict resolution techniques. Every situation is not a challenge to your honor that demands you fight or attack someone.

Lemme see, did those celebrating wear 'hoodies', carry tea and skittles?

Or did they seek out someone and pummel his head/face on the sidewalk?

The whole thing got blown out of proportion and the Principal had to leave school early. She was receiving death threats all day from around the country.
