One example does not equal a trend.
Iran is energy independent, want to move there?

I'm another one who has been to Brazil. I was on a mission trip down the Amazon, saw how people live in the jungle. They're energy independet b/c they don't have any energy-comsuming goods to use.

Again, not a coutry we should seek to emulate, IMO, though I loved it.

Simply because Brazil has more energy independence, does not mean that the entirety of Brazil should be emulated.

The simple fact is that the world's oil addiction means big, BIG money for the US, so I don't see the US being as steadfastly energy independent until it suits her, obviously.

But good for Brazil! Hopefully this will begin to allow more focus to be given to its infrastructure, so that the energy can be used for the entirety of Brazil, and disseminated effectively.

obama invested billions of US funds in Brazil's Petrobras for deep water drilling at the time of the gulf oil spill. Soros has also invested heavily. That helps Brazil. However as mentioned Brazil is not helping Brazil.

The US could be well on the road to energy independence once we dump Obama.

Not the model to emulate.

You have GOT to be kidding me. Obama has been one of the most ardent presidents for energy independence, and his investment in Brazil's own quest for energy independence.

Obama: Energy Independence Involves Tough Transition From Oil Imports

In fact, it is the REPUBLICANS that have stopped and criticized him at every turn when it comes to his desire for American energy independence.

A second great depression is the only way we will ever come close to energy dependence.

Obama LENT money to Petrobras. It was a LOAN.

And China lent MUCH MORE money to Petrobras than the USA.

Put a little thing on your little minds: WE DON'T NEED YOUR MONEY!

And about the favelas, stop your propaganda bullsh*t, because only 6% of Brazilians live in favelas, while the remaining 94% live outside it.

Congratulations! You saw how 0.0001% of the Brazilian people live, in the middle of the Amazon jungle!

Next time, go to São Paulo!

This is SOOOOOO damn funny. The Leftists praising Brazil for being a big oil behemoth, but it's ok to them because the government owns the oil companies. Screw CO2 and whining about the over usage of fossil fuels because after all, the government owns it and that is GRRRREEEAAATTTT!!!!
