George Romney was born in a Mormon colony in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico to parents who were US citizens. George Romney was basically a Mexican anchor baby born to US citizen parents who were permanent, long term residents of Mexico (not just visiting as tourists). Later upon moving back to the USA his parents established George as if he were a natural born American, but nobody ever gave him a serious constitutional challenge on that when he was running for president in 1968. Why not?
If his name were instead Jorge Romnéz, then the reaction probably would have been much more different. Just ask Marco Rubio...

Yes, I would want to know. I'm unaware of a President whose place of birth as not been confirmed or was elected to office in violation of the provisions of the U.S. Constitution.

It would.

Fortunatly, we haven't had that problem yet.
