Guess I won't wait for the apology.
Your failure to read the associated threads is not my responsibility.
Get over yourself.
Seriously.

But your assertion, in post 67, that the answer would be found IN THIS THREAD, is in fact your responsibility, and was clearly incorrect. That you choose to be insulting instead of acknowledging your mistake is really not worth pursuing any further.

Look, let's get this out in the open, shall we? Artificial contraception is a grave evil. It's use is plainly immoral and all Christians understood this for 1,900 years.

The effects of contraceptive use in this country have been utterly disastrous. The contraceptive mentality fuels promiscuity, abortion, and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Contraception has decimated families by robbing people of their natural support network (e.g., siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, in-laws). The lack of this support network has led to the rise of the nanny state and an exploding national debt. Contraception is destroying our economy by robbing it of producers, entrepreneurs, taxpayers and consumers. Population stagnation and decline always precedes economic collapse. Contraception leads to divorce because it undermines the strongest unifying force in marriage, the raising of children together.

Not only should employers not be forced to pay for it, but states should be free to restrict the proliferation and use of contraceptives and, preferably, to ban them altogether.
This is funny.

And painfully ignorant.

Does anyone honestly believe that people haven't always used some sort of BC?
Really?

Of course not. The most effective birth control on the planet is FREE and available to everyone. It's called abstinence.

Do you have anything of worth to contribute here, or are you going to argue semantics?
I await your reply with bated breath.

No one is talking about "banning" contraception.

You're all for the "right to choose", right?

It's pretty clear in the article you posted the link to. Did you read it?

When you stop attempting to put words in my mouth, we might be able to have a tempered discourse.

It worked really well before "the pill" became ubiquitous.

Out of wedlock births in 1965: 5.3%

Out of wedlock births in 2009: 41.0%

I read the article. Did you?

It is clearly speaking Health Insurance Plans. Read it. And no one should be forced to include that in health care plans. Period. That would be a violation of the First Amendment for religious organizations.

For anyone else, it is a violation of their right to decide how there business will operate, and what they might or might not include in any health insurance plan.

The President lacks the athority to make that demand.

Else, consider this: If he does... why couldn't the next President (say Rick Santorum, whom I know you just love ) come along and MANDATE that all women must practice HIS version of birth control.

Sound silly? If the President can mandate what is in a health care plan, he can mandate anything. And that is what is at the heart of the issue with ObamaCare, the individual MANDATE.
