Treason is when you go to the enemies capital sit on anti aircraft guns and speak poorly of your country while men in the field are being killed by the enemy you are praising while sitting in their capital
The only reason there WAS a South Vietnam in the first place is because the US knew Ho Chi Minh would win a free and open election as the first President of Vietnam after the French left. And he was a Communist.
Unless you were there, you only think you know the story. Especially as there is not a single story but as many as people who served.
You were taught what to think, but what you were taught is not the whole truth, or even a large part of it.

I know a LOT of Nam vets. I still keep in touch with some of the guys who were stationed with my dad. Most of them agree that the war was a huge mistake. Funny how it mostly just seems to be people the keyboard warriors on the net, feigning outrage and pretending that it was some sort of noble conflict.
I'm an Army vet, from an immediate and extended family full of vets, so don't condescend to me and pretend that I don't know about sacrifice. My dad paid the ultimate price over there, so pardon me if I don't shed a tear for YOU, who still gets to breath air.

It's so funny watching keyboard warriors who obsess because the POTUS isn't white, pretending to be offended in an attempt to gain internet cred with other internet tough-guys...
I know that some folks need someone/something to hate to get through their day. But I just think they should direct that energy towards someone/something deserving instead of just blindly hating who they're told to.
